Michael Duarte is a digital brand architect who is a visionary in new media and information technology. With over 15 years of extensive experience in the industry, Michael’s success story is a diversified collection of hands-on experience on large and small scale web initiatives that attest to his leadership, creativity and technical expertise. He has an infectious energy for what he does and the people he does it with and embarks on each new venture with an open mind, positive attitude and a passion for excellence.
His journey began back in 1991 when Michael was appointed senior executive producer of CD-Interactive; an international interactive media company focused on the development of educational CD-ROM games for children. In partnership with Sony, Philips, and LG Group, Michael was instrumental in the design and architecture of some of the first consumer interactive children’s software games produced in the U.S. and abroad. By 1994 Michael emerged into the business software market designing and architecting Point-of-Information and Point-of-Sale kiosk systems for clients like General Nutrition Centers, Kia Motors, Country Music Television, and Lexus. Michael also worked with many of the independent studios such as Buena Vista Television and Hallmark Entertainment to produce interactive video content for NAPTE, a global, non-profit organization dedicated to the creation, development and distribution of televised programming.
Michael founded NetMedia Communications Group in 1996; a full service interactive marketing agency. During its ten year history, NetMedia helped numerous dotcoms as well as fortune 100 and 500 companies navigate from the traditional brick-n-mortar world into the online space. Michael’s global brand experience includes the likes of Microsoft, Toshiba, Fujitsu, Scion, Mazda, Lincoln/Mercury, LandRover, and Ericsson.
In 2007, Michael sold NetMedia Communications Group and started down the path of a new venture - The Duarte Group, an independent consulting firm that focuses on the new convergence of technology, the web and mobile communications. Michael is actively involved in helping clients build communities by developing and executing social media marketing strategies that enable them to engage, influence and build better relationships with their customers, prospects and partners.
